Steps
Eye Exam Process
Our advanced eye exams combine precision technology and
professional expertise to provide you with the best care.
Step 1
Patient Information & Medical History
Our skilled technician will perform preliminary testing using:
- Autorefractor and Autokeratometer: To measure your current vision and prescription baseline.
- Auto-Lensometer: To analyze the prescription of your current glasses (if applicable).
Step 2
Pre-Testing for Vision Assessment
Your journey begins with an easy-to-complete digital questionnaire to record your medical history and create your Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Step 3
Comprehensive Eye Health Check
We use state-of-the-art tools to assess your eye health, including:
- Non-contact Tonometry: To measure intraocular pressure and screen for glaucoma.
- Visual Field Testing: To evaluate peripheral vision.
- Fundus Photography: To capture high-resolution images of your retina and optic nerve, detecting conditions like diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and cataracts.
Step 4
Visual Acuity Testing
In the exam room, digital phoropters perform a detailed refraction test to optimize your prescription. Advanced algorithms guide the process for maximum clarity and comfort.
Step 5
Live Review with a Certified Eye Doctor
All your test results are securely transferred to a Board-certified optometrist. Through HD video conferencing, the doctor will:
- Review your eye health and vision test results in real-time.
- Discuss and finalize your prescription.
- Perform a color-blindness test (if needed).
Step 6
Secure Digital Records
Your entire exam data—including medical history, test results, and prescriptions—are stored in your secure EMR. This allows us to monitor your vision and eye health over time and provide consistent care.
Step 7
Prescription & Recommendations
Within minutes of completing the exam, you’ll receive your updated prescription, ready to purchase eyeglasses or contact lenses in-store. If any concerns are noted, the doctor will provide referrals for specialized follow-up care.
